The Breast Unit
Every pound raised today goes to the Breast Unit at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, through the hospital charity. Since 2003 the unit's fundraising has paid for clinical trials, equipment and the wellbeing programmes that carry patients through treatment and beyond.
The next step is a breast cancer prevention clinic: a specialist nurse offering personalised risk assessments, with professionals guiding women on diet, exercise, HRT, menopause and mindfulness. Prevention standing alongside diagnosis and treatment.
